Caitlyn Jenner

It is impossible not to know about the famous former Olympic athlete and his transition. Bruce Jenner came out of the trans closet with a bang. Namely, his announcement that he wishes to be called Caitlyn from then on appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair. No wonder she has been named the most famous transgender woman on the planet. Jenner even starred in the reality TV show I Am Cait, which revolved around her gender transition.

Amanda Lepore

This American transgender model served as a muse of photographer David LaChapelle. She has also posed for many other photographers, such as Terry Richardson and Ruben van Schalm. Aside from modeling, Lepore focused on her singing career and her debut album ‘I…Amanda Lepore’ got out in 2011.

Lana and Lily Wachowski

Two siblings, Laurence Wachowski and Andrew Paul Wachowski both went through a transition, and now they live as trans women, Lana and Lily. This incredible duo made their directing debut with Bound, and their career skyrocketed with the release of their second film, The Matrix. Since it was such a hit, they decided to write and direct two more sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In 2006 they wrote and produced V for Vendetta, and two years later these sisters released the film Speed Racer. They are also responsible for hits such as Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending, as well as the Netflix series Sense8.

Carmen Carrera

When Christopher Roman joined other queens in RuPaul’s Drag Race, no one had a clue that his drag personality will become his permanent one. Soon after the show ended, he started his transition, and now many people in the world are familiar with the name of Carmen Carrera. She appeared in another reality show Couples Therapy with her partner Adrian Torres. The lovebirds settled their differences and even got married in front of the TV cameras.  Once she became a trans woman, Carrera pursued a career in acting. You could have seen her in the movie Ricki and the Flash, as well as in series The Bold and the Beautiful, and Jane the Virgin.
